Employment: Director of Manufacturing with the Rochester Division of Jamestown Container Company.

Family: Married to Kimberly Snyder with three children, Danielle Trautman (14), Elizabeth Trautman (25) and Phillip Trautman (28).

Community involvement: Volunteer as a soccer coach, Angel Food Ministries and Vincent House including hosting events and assisting with maintenance.

Skills / Qualities / Expectations: I believe my combination of educational background, management skills and desire to serve the community makes me the right candidate for the job. I have a degree in organizational management from Roberts Wesleyan College with a minor in mathematics. I have also taken classes in secondary education at Roberts, which exposed me to the demands of being an educator.

My 20-plus years in industrial management positions include sales, customer service, operations, and my current position overseeing the production department in two manufacturing plants. The skills I’ve developed include planning, organizing, problem solving, budget development and leadership. My decision to run for the school board was not driven by issues but by the desire to give back to the system that has been such a big part of my daughter Danielle’s growth. I believe the biggest challenge ahead is to focus on quality education while maintaining fiscal responsibility to the community.
