STUDENT NEWS: November “Monthly Celebration”

On November 20^th your child was able to take part in a 30 minute “Workshop Time” during our first “Monthly Celebration.” During this time, every child in the school was placed in a group with 5 of his/her peers and the teacher, teaching assistant, aide, or parent volunteer that had planned a special activity! There were 28 different “Workshop” options including:
 

• Raising a Puppy with Mrs. Walker (and her puppy)
• African Dance with Mrs. Sheroshick
• Smart Board Fun Facts Game with Mrs. Wilkinson
• Cookies and Cocoa with Ms. Blair and Mrs. Bill
• Learning the Electric Slide with Mrs. Rethmel
• Nature and Pursuing White Tail Deer with Mr. Holmwood
• Making Silly Putty with Mrs. Years
• Examining a Bug Collection with Mrs. Decker
• American Idol with Mrs. McCumber
• Making a Dirt Bike Collage with Mrs. Nichols
• Learning Spanish with Ms. Manley
• Making Thanksgiving Placemats with Mrs. Snaith and…
•  MUCH, MUCH MORE!

This first Monthly Celebration was overwhelmingly positive and allowed our children

a special break from day to day routines and a chance to see the adult in their community in a different light! Special thanks to each of our faculty/staff and especially our parent volunteers; Mrs. Years, Mrs. Decker, Mrs. Hersh, Ms. Allen, Mrs. Walker and Mrs. Bondgren!
