You will begin your study of American history by researching various Native American groups.  Using this information to help you, you will then examine Native American legends, focusing on discovering evidence of their culture through stories (You will be exposed to five legends in History and may be exposed to an additional five in English).  Following this, you will write a compare/contrast essay using two of the works linked below (of your choice) that will be due on Tuesday, September 20, 2005.
