Back to Middle School

Each month students are recognized and nominated for their overall contribution to the school community. Consideration is made based on students’ attitude, behavior, effort and citizenship. By being nominated, students are eligible to be featured on the Middle School Wall of Excellence displayed in the foyer. A random drawing determines which nominee will be featured each month.

Fifth Grade On the Wall

Charlotte Kennedy

Charlotte is currently a 5th grade student at Wayland-Cohocton Middle School. Charlotte was nominated for the "Wall of Excellence" for the following reasons.

Charlotte works hard in class and takes pride in her work. She always strives to produce quality work and is a joy to teach. Keep up the great work, Charlotte!

Charlotte loves art and she likes to play with her dogs. She does gymnastics and cheerleading. Charlotte's favorite things are Justice and the color orange. She likes Science and Social Studies the best and her favorite teahers is Mrs. Baker. The person that charlotte looks up to is her mom, because she is nice.

 

Colton Caves

Colton is currently a 5th grade student at Wayland-Cohocton Middle School. Colton was nominated for the "Wall of Excellence" for the following reasons.

Colton is always cooperative, prepared and ready to learn. He works hard and does his best. Colton is a pleasure to have in class.

Colton likes to ride snowmobiles. He is a member of 4-H. Colton likes the color red and his favorite foods are pizza and wings. He likes math the best and his favorite teacher is Mrs. Hughes. The person that Colton looks up to is his dad, because he does everything with him.

Sixth Grade On the Wall

Mackenzie Johnson

Mackenzie is currently a 6th grade student at Wayland-Cohocton Middle School. Mackenzie was nominated for the "Wall of Excellence" for the following reasons.

Mackenzie works hard and always puts forth her best effort, which makes her an excellent role model for others. She is friendly, well-mannered and helpful to other classmates.

Mackenzie likes to play soccer, basketball and softball. She is a member of a traveling soccer team and Livingston Basketball League. Mackenzie's favorite colors are blue and green, her favorite food is watermelon and she likes to wear jeans. Mackenzie likes Social Studies, Math and PE the best and her favorite teacher is Mrs. Biggee. The people that Mackenzie
look up to are her mom and dad, because they are good people.

 

Karlee Chizuk

Karlee is currently a 6th grade student at Wayland-Cohocton Middle School. Karlee was nominated for the "Wall of Excellence" for the following reasons.

Karlee is a sweet kid who is a good role model to her peers. She is a pleasure to have in class.

Karlee likes to play soccer and softball and she likes to ski. She is a member of a traveling soccer team and also Ski Club. Karlee's favorite colors are yellow, blue, orange and green and her favorite food is pizza. She likes Social Studies the best and her favorite teacher is Mrs. Krajci. The person that Karlee idolizes is David Beckham, because he is a good soccer player.

Seventh Grade On the Wall

Ruth Elderkin

Ruth is currently a 7th grade student at Wayland-Cohocton Middle School. Ruth was nominated for the "Wall of Excellence" for the following reasons.

Ruth is working really hard in the 7th grade. She is completing her homework, reading more and participating in her classes. Ruth is receptive to learning new strategies and uses them consistently to build skills and produce qualitative work. With her strong work ethic and pleasant cooperative manner, she is an excellent role model for her peers.

Ruth likes to skateboard. She is a member of Teens at church. Ruth likes pizza, her favorite subject is Fusion Reading and her favorite teacher is Mrs. Doupe. The person that she looks up to and the one that she admires the most is her mom.


 

Kendall Ellis

Kendall is currently a 7th grade student at Wayland-Cohocton Middle School. Kendall was nominated for the "Wall of Excellence" for the following reasons.

Kendall shows great enthusiasm for learning. She is good natured and honest. Kendall takes great pride in her work and completes tasks with enthusiasm. Her opinions and actions show maturity and kindness.

Kendall likes playing soccer with her friends. She is a member of a traveling soccer team. Kendall's favorite colors are purple and pink and she likes Justin Bieber's music. Her favorite subjects are Math and Social Studies and her favorite teachers are Mr. Bondi and Mrs. Campini. The person that Kendall idolizes is Abby Wambach, because she is a really good soccer player.

Eighth Grade On the Wall

David Craig

David is currently a 8th grade student at Wayland-Cohocton Middle School. David was nominated for the "Wall of Excellence" for the following reasons.

David is an awesome student! It is always nice to see him. He is prepared and always participates. David is a pleasure to have in class.

David likes basketball, baseball and playing video games. His favorite color is purple and he likes Alternative Music. Science and ELA are his favorite subjects and his favorite teachers are Mrs. Perkins and Mr. Pragle.


 

Vanessa Motzer

Vanessa is currently a 8th grade student at Wayland-Cohocton Middle School. Vanessa was nominated for the "Wall of Excellence" for the following reasons.

Vanessa is a hard-working and conscientious student. She is very courteous and helpful to all students. Vanessa is a leader in the classroom and a good role model for everyone here at WCCS.

Vanessa likes to jump on the trampoline, play soccer and basketball, and hang out with her friends. She is a member of a traveling soccer team and she also played JV soccer, as well as JV basketball. Bruno Mars is her favorite singer and her favorite colors are purple and orange. Vanessa likes French and Science the best and her favorite teachers are Madame Marsh and Mr. Pragle. The person that Vanessa looks up to is her mom, because she is always there to help her.
