Back to Middle School

Each month students are recognized and nominated for their overall contribution to the school community. Consideration is made based on students’ attitude, behavior, effort and citizenship. By being nominated, students are eligible to be featured on the Middle School Wall of Excellence displayed in the foyer. A random drawing determines which nominee will be featured each month.

Fifth Grade On the Wall

Patrick O’Neal

Patrick is currently a 5th grade student at Wayland-Cohocton Middle School. Patrick was nominated for the “Wall of Excellence” for the following reasons:

Patrick has a great personality. He is always in a good mood and prepared for class. Patrick is a joy to have in class.

Patrick likes to play sports and ride his 4-wheeler and dirt bike. He is on a basketball and baseball team. Patrick’s favorite music is Country music. He likes Physical Education class the best and his favorite teachers are Mrs. Baker and Mrs. Hughes. The person that Patrick looks up to and the one that he admires the most is his brother Kevin, because he always knows how to fix things.
 

Ashley Garrison

Ashley is currently a 5th grade student at Wayland-Cohocton Middle School. Ashley was nominated for the “Wall of Excellence” for the following reasons:

Ashley is a very conscientious student, who comes prepared to work in all her music classes. She exhibits all of the Eagles’ Way attributes and is a joy to have in class.

Ashley likes to draw, cheer and listen to music. She is a member of a cheerleading squad and is also in the Girls Scouts. Ashley’s favorite teacher is Mr. Gravelle. Ashley idolizes Justin Bieber, because he sings her favorite song.

Sixth Grade On the Wall

Sarah Joseph

Sarah is currently a 6th grade student at Wayland-Cohocton Middle School. Sarah was nominated for the “Wall of Excellence” for the following reasons:

Sarah is an awesome student. She works hard and puts forth extra effort on all assignments and projects. She is an excellent role model.

Sarah is involved in basketball and soccer. Her favorite food is spaghetti and meatballs. Sarah likes Math and Social Studies and her favorite teacher is Mrs. Krajci. The people that Sarah look up to and the ones that she admires the most are her parents, because they help her.


 

Shianne Chapman

Shianne is currently a 6th grade student at Wayland-Cohocton Middle School. Shianne was nominated for the “Wall of Excellence” for the following reasons:

Shianne is a very hard-worker. She is always very cheerful and friendly to all. Shianne sets a good example of the Eagles’ Way.

Shianne likes to play soccer, softball and listen to Taylor Swift’s music. She is in 4-H and Girl Scouts. Shianne’s favorite color is green and her favorite teachers are Miss Holcomb and Mrs. Doupe. The people that Shianne look up to and the ones that she admires the most are her parents.

Seventh Grade On the Wall

Sheldon Palmer

Sheldon is currently a 7th grade student at Wayland-Cohocton Middle School. Sheldon was nominated for the “Wall of Excellence” for the following reasons:

Sheldon is a unique young man with manners, people skills and high standards. He is an excellent team leader and is very capable and conscientious about his “job” in school.

Sheldon likes to listen to music and hang out with his friends. He is involved in basketball and soccer. Sheldon likes to wear jeans, listen to Country music and the color green. His favorite subject is French and his favorite teachers are Mrs. Campini and Madame Marsh. The person that Sheldon looks up to and the one that he admires the most is his dad, because he is always there for him.

 

Emily Yax

Emily is currently a 7th grade student at Wayland-Cohocton Middle School. Emily was nominated for the “Wall of Excellence” for the following reasons:

Emily is a wonderful young lady and an excellent student. She works hard in class and takes pride in her work. Emily is eager to learn and to do a good job.

Emily likes to read. She is the goalie for the soccer team and is also a member of the Alpine Ski Team, the Lego Robotics Club, The National Junior Honor Society and The Girls Scouts. Her favorite food is lasagna and she likes the color turquoise. Emily likes most of her subjects, especially Science, Math, English, Band and French. Her favorite teacher is Madame Marsh. The person that Emily looks up to and the one that she admires the most is her mom, because she is always hard-working and she is really smart.

Eighth Grade On the Wall

Timothy France

Tim is currently an 8th grade student at Wayland-Cohocton Middle School. Tim was nominated for the “Wall of Excellence” for the following reasons:

Tim is a hard-working and caring student. He does what is asked of him and he enjoys helping his peers.

Tim likes playing in his band, playing video games, eating and sleeping. His favorite part of the day is lunch and his favorite teacher is Mrs. Carey. The people that Tim idolizes are John Cena and Brett Favre.


 

Alisha Kinney

Alisha is currently an 8th grade student at Wayland-Cohocton Middle School. Alisha was nominated for the “Wall of Excellence” for the following reasons:

Alisha is always respectful to those around her. She tries to do what is right, even when it’s not the popularthing to do. Alisha is a true role model.

Alisha likes to hang out with her friends and talk to whoever is around her. She is a cheerleader. Alisha loves sports and music. Her favorite subject is Art and her favorite teachers are Mrs. Carey and Mrs. Acomb. The people that Alisha look up to and the ones that she admires the most, are her brother and her uncle.
