Wayland-Cohocton Central School values professional
learning of all staff in order to improve the quality of teaching and
learning. Enhanced teaching and learning is the foundation upon which
the district plans all professional development in order for teachers
and staff to remain current with their profession and meet the needs of
their students.

WCCS offers professional learning opportunities within
five areas: Instructional support strategies, curriculum & instruction,
professional growth, technology, and health & wellness. In addition, the
district supports new teachers through the District's Mentoring Program.

specialists in particular areas or academic leaders among their peers.
