Format: This is FACT based Research
• Research supportive facts for your teams position
• Type a 2 minute statement in which you outline your position and include facts which support that position. ( To be handed in)
• Prepare a typed FACT SHEET in which you detail facts that support your position. ( To be handed in)
• Include sources for each of your facts for example; Dr. Engelder’s research shows….the DEC of NY states that, according to the website, Shaleshock. Remember research gives credit to those who did the research. You are merely quoting their work.

DEBATE DAYS - JUNE 16 and 17

1. On Debate Day each team member will read their 2 minute statement.
2. Each team member will also be ready for rebuttal with their fact sheets.
3. Debates are orderly discussions not a free for all with opinions, it is FACT BASED ONLY.
4. Each team will have 4 minutes to prepare their rebuttal arguments and then will have 2 minutes to state their case.
5. The team will then make a statement of RESOLVE which is their final statement on the issue.
