PowerPoint Games- Here is a link that gives you downloadable free templates for review games such as Jeopardy, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Hollywood Squares, Wheel of Fortune, Weakest Link, etc. Teachers can create their own questions, or you can have students make their own for the class to play.

Internet for the Classroom- This site will be great to help you use the Internet effectively in the classroom. Find teacher web links, online software modules, education news, info on grants and "TCAP Help" for assessments linked to state standards, and many other excellent resources.
National Education Technology Plan- Reports on the current status of educational technology, examines how technology and the No Child Left Behind law can help improve academic achievement, and makes seven recommendations for further improvements. Click here for even more information on this.
PBS Teachers- The site's features are a blog, called "Media Infusion," that will showcase ideas for (and encourage conversations about) using media and technology in the classroom; thousands of free, standards-based lesson plans, classroom activities, and interactive resources, organized by subject, grade level, and curriculum topic; and hundreds of curriculum resources from local PBS stations.
RubiStar- This is a great site to help you easily create rubric for your next classroom assignment.
School Scrabble- This is a great site for students get help to improve a wide range of skills including: vocabulary, spelling, dictionary skills, math (traditional and non-traditional), cooperative learning, conflict resolution and creative problem solving.
Sites for Teachers- Information is more than plentiful and easy to read. There happens to be several pages with several links to every subject, title, site, etc you would ever want. Check it out.
Smithsonian Education- Has tremendous graphics, movies, audio for students and families. The greatest amount of info for teachers is unbelievable.
Teachnet.com- Great site for all teachers -- has everything you need to know about classroom management, lesson plans, and more.
Turnitin.com- Here is the link for using Turn It In to check student papers for validity and plagiarism. If you don't already have an account, contact me for that information on how to sign up.
Web 2.0- Every day, your students are becoming more involved with wikis, blogs, social networking and other applications, devices and programs--collectively known as Web 2.0. Your challenge is to utilize this astounding new technology to create Classroom 2.0 — ours is to help you get there. Check this site for a great teacher's guide on Web 2.0.
The Writers Forum- The Brockport Writers Forum has presented an extraordinary list of distinguished poets, fiction writers, essayists, and critics to the literary community, most of whom have been videotaped in cooperation with the Educational Communications Center for a permanent archive for use by scholars, students, and teachers throughout the country. These tapes, which run from 30 minutes to an hour, are available to colleges, schools and libraries
