Re:      Band information for fall

I am excited about this new group of Fifth Graders starting band this year. I wanted you to have a few things “written down” for reference at the beginning of the school year.

·         STUDENTS DO NOT NEED TO BRING THEIR INSTRUMENTS RIGHT AWAY.  Instruments will be needed later in September, the week of September 19th.

·         LESSONS will begin the week of September 19th . I will give details and procedures to students. Lesson periods rotate, so they don’t miss the same class each week.

·         13^th PERIOD BAND rehearsals are on WEDNESDAYS.   They are mandatory.  (The first one will be Wednesday, September 21st.)

·         IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN INSTRUMENT/BOOK FOR YOUR STUDENT YET, you have until September 16th to provide one.  For rentals, new instruments, used instruments and all supplies/books, we have a local store available:

The book we use is called Essential Elements 2000, BOOK 1, with CD.
