Dear Parents/Guardians

Important Notice

As we turn the corner and head into the second half of the school year, I felt it was important to put out a reminder regarding our school day. Please remember that our school day officially ends at 3:20pm. Going home at 2:30pm is a privilege for students, 13th period is a time for students to get extra help and to complete any missed work. Please remind your son/daughter that if a teacher asks them to stay 13th that it is their academic responsibility to do so.

We, as a middle school, have also looked at our delayed arrival days and will be making a change. As many of you know, the WCCS district has recently instituted two early release days per month. On those days all students are dismissed at 2:30pm. The middle school will now be using that time for curriculum work and staff development and will no longer be using delayed arrival days. This change is effective starting with the month of February. Listed below are the dates for the early dismissal at 2:30pm.

• January 8th & 22nd

• February 5th

• March 5th & 19th

• April 2nd

• May 7th & 21st
