Wayland-Cohocton announces the vacancy of two provisional clerk/typist positions in the special education office on the Wayland campus. Qualified individuals should send a resume to Dineen Snyder (dsnyder@wccsk12.org) to mail to Wayland-Cohocton CSD, Att: Dineen Snyder, 2350 Route 63, Wayland, NY 14572 no later than August 14, 2020. 

Any present permanent clerk typist who wishes to be considered for this vacancy  must file an application by the closing date of August 14, to Dineen Snyder in the Wayland-Cohocton District Office. Both positions will begin as soon as possible with starting salary per the WCESP contract.

An individual who receives a provisional appointment must take the examination for the position title on the next occasion it is offered. The next examination is on August 19, 2020. The deadline to submit an application to Livingston County Personnel Office is August 5, 2020. The application must be postmarked no later than August 5, 2020 and include a money order for the application fee or application and application fee may be dropped off at the Livingston County Personnel Office in person by appointment. In order to be eligible for a permanent appointment to the position, the provisional appointee must pass the exam and be on the Civil Service Eligible List. It should be understood that even if the provisional appointee is eligible for appointment, the employer may choose another candidate to fill the position on a permanent basis. In the event a provisional appointee is appointed to the position from the eligible list, the appointee will be required to serve a probationary period beginning on the date of appointment from the list. Questions regarding provisional appointments should be directed to the Wayland-Cohocton Human Resources Department. *Candidates must have been legal residents of Livingston County or the Wayland-Cohocton School District, including the Genesee Valley BOCES School District, for at least four months immediately preceding the date of the written test. Preference in appointment may be given to successful candidates who have been legal residents of the Wayland-Cohocton School District.
