On May 18th, the Wayland-Cohocton District will hold its annual school vote from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Middle School gymnasium. The vote will include propositions related to the general budget, a capital improvement project, the renewal of the vehicle and equipment reserve fund, the public library tax levy and candidates to fill one Board of Education seat.

Voters must meet the following qualifications: 

  • A citizen of the United States
  • Eighteen (18) years of age or older
  • A resident within the district for a period of thirty (30) days preceding the vote.

Steuben County COVID-19 regulations are required in regards to masking and social distancing. 

In addition to an informational video released about the capital improvement project, there are also two webpages that will provide some general information about both the capital improvement project and the general budget. Additionally, in the week prior to the vote, the district will mail out the annual budget newsletter to district residents. At that point the newsletter will also be made available online.
