Wayland-Cohocton Middle and Elementary Schools are getting ready to recognize Red Ribbon Week October 21st - 25th. The week highlights awareness of safe choices and the dangers associated with the use of drugs, alcohol and other unsafe substances. The week will be highlighted by dress-up theme days and classroomd discussions.
The theme days are as follows: Monday, October 21: Sock it To Drugs (wear crazy socks); Tuesday, October 22: Put Drugs to Sleep (wear PJs), Wednesday, October 23: Be a Good Sport! Stay in School! (wear sports/fan gear); Thursday, October 24: Be Cool! Stay in School (wear maroon and gold); Friday, October 25: Put A Cap on Drugs (hat day).
On Thursday, October 24 Wayland-Cohocton Middle School will host the Health Fair from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the middle school gymnasium. This is a great free family event with a lot of great activities and learning fun brought to the district by own personnel and a wide array of community organizations. Don't miss out!
