LIBRARY.FYI (Library Catalog & Online Databases)

The Wayland-Cohocton High School Library houses 20 ChromeBooks for students to borrow 6 laptops and over 9,700 books, PlayAways, DVDs and Blu-Rays for student and teacher use. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

The High School Library is the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) hub of the high school. Students are allowed to come in and enjoy themselves by playing a variety of video and board games, Legos, Ping-Pong, and of course, READING!  We encourage students to continue to read in and outside of school and we encourage parents to talk to their students about the materials they choose regarding the book’s content.

Students can check out up to 5 materials at a time, will be able to have them for 2 weeks, and can renew if they need them longer.

Students are allowed to come to the library every day from study halls or with a class scheduled with the teacher and librarian. The library is a resource for all students to enhance their learning and to gain a love for reading. We encourage all students to visit the library regularly.

Mrs. Meldrum and Mr. Allen are always available to talk with students about anything that is on their mind, as well as direct them to the library materials that they would be interested in.
