Owen Wolfanger's Reverse Engineering Project

Wondering what a distance learning lesson looks like? Middle School Technology Teacher Jacob Weiand created a reverse engineering lesson for his students. Students were presented a slide show through Google classroom. (see below). 


Students were asked to dissect an object from their home. They were to take apart the object, study the parts, get an understanding of the parts used, how they fit and what they are made of. The task was then to make a board and list the description of the components.  

"Many of the kids really enjoyed the project and learned a little bit of what's inside the object they chose," said Mr. Weiand. "Owen did a very thorough job on his project." 

Owen Wolfanger created the board (seen in the picture below) and created the table (also seen below) for a remote control in his house.
