Students are allowed to come to the library every day from study halls or class with teacher permission.

Wayland-Cohocton Middle School Library houses 20 ChromeBooks for students to borrow  and 8,200 books, PlayAways, and DVD's for student and teacher use. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

  • Students in grades 5 and 6 can borrow up to 2 materials at a time.

  • Students in grades 7 and 8 can borrow up to 3 materials at a time.

Mrs. Rowley is in the MS library every day to assist students with finding books they need for classes or to read for enjoyment. She will guide students to pick from a wide range of materials meant to help develop a love for reading and learning. The library space also has some games and hands-on activities that allow students to interact with different media to enhance learning. We suggest students read 30 min. each night and we encourage parents to talk to their students about the materials they choose regarding a book’s content.

Lost or damaged books are the responsibility of the parent/guardian. Parents/guardians may pay the cost assigned by the library, or they may purchase a new copy. Students may not be permitted to borrow more materials until overdue, lost, or damaged materials are taken care of.

The library is a resource for all students to enhance their learning and to continue to gain a love for reading. We encourage all students to visit the library regularly.
