facemasks

Wayland-Cohocton cafeteria staff, bus drivers and administrators will be taking extra precautions on Monday when meals are delivered. The group will be wearing locally handmade face masks and limiting their contact and conversations with people to be certain they are neither spreading nor contracting the coronavirus. When they drop meals off at homes, please don’t be offended if their conversations, if any, are brief. Also, during the disbursement of meals at the Cohocton Elementary School and St. Joseph’s parking lot, they will ask people to respect distance between one another and move quickly through the line. (Remember, meal pick-up is from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.)

The district will continue to update the community as more information becomes available. Both Steuben and Livingston counties now have positive cases. The district is working diligently to provide necessary services to our families and also protecting the health of its devoted staff. If you have questions, please use the email closingsupport@wccsk12.org. Also the district has added a COVID-19 UPDATES page to the school’s website. It can be found on the menu to the district’s homepage. (Menu button is at the top of the page.)

Stay strong and healthy
