In order to manage the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 25, there will be a change in meal disbursement. Meals delivered on Friday, May 22 will include meals for Friday, May 22; Saturday, May 23; Monday May 25; and Tuesday, May 26.
For families picking up their meals, there won’t be any difference in times and meals can be picked up between 9 and 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph’s parking lot in Wayland and the Cohocton Elementary parking lot. For families whose meals are delivered to them, the delivery schedule may be slightly later as with more meals to handle delivery will take a bit longer. Please be patient as over 3,000 meals will be delivered on that Friday.
Meals now contain perishable items, so please be certain the bags are unpacked as quickly as possible and any items requiring refrigeration are handled properly. This will be particularly important when receiving the four-day supply.
The district hopes this notice will allow families the time to plan accordingly for the long weekend and at the same time, give our much deserved meal-prep and delivery team, a chance to enjoy the holiday with their families resting up.
Families can still take advantage of the meal program by picking up meals at the pick-up locations mentioned above, or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. (Please note, when emailing it can take a few days to start service.)
