Wayland-Cohocton seventh graders Emily King, Celise Wicker and Chelsea Abbott created a Red Ribbon Week Poster that has been selected for the National Family Partnership’s 2022 Red Ribbon Week National Campaign.

The trio made their poster with the theme - Celebrate Life, Live Drug Free and submitted it to the organization's contest. Madame Holderer had her students create posters in French during class. After learning of the organization's contest, Madame Holderer encouraged any of the students who wanted to participate in the contest, to recreate their poster in English.

Celise, Emily and Chelsea did just that and last week were notified that their theme had been selected as the national theme contest winner for Red Ribbon Week 2022. Red Ribbon Week is celebrated every year in October. Already, these young creators’ theme can be found on merchandise, $500 of which will be headed to Wayland-Cohocton as an award for their creation!
