Wayland-Cohocton is excited to announce that it is partnering with Steuben County Cornell Cooperative Extension and SNAP-ED of New York to bring the Veggie Van to the Cohocton campus on Mondays from 4:30 to 6:30 pm from July 20th to October 7th! The Vegie Van is open to everyone and accepts cash, check, credit/debit, EBT/SNAP benefits and Farmers’ Market Coupons (both seniors and WIC!). We will keep you updated as it draws closer! The Tri-County YMCA of New York Wayland-Cohocton Early Learning Center is now enrolling. April’s family engagement day at Wayland-Cohocton Prekindergarten School was a fun one with reptiles and amphibians presented by Tanglewood Nature Center! It was a great educational event to wrap up the month. The time learning together was enjoyed by the students and their visiting family and friends. As a result of last night’s storms and in consultation with road crews this morning, Wayland-Cohocton will be closed today, April 1st, 2026. Steuben County has issued a travel advisory due to flooding and rainfall. While water levels have receded in many areas, multiple State, County and local roads remain closed or impacted due to damage, debris and residual water.
