You may notice yellow and orange cones around campus. They are not decorations. They are part of our daily safety plan. Cones in the Wayland bus loop are there to prevent cars from driving around stopped buses, forming multiple lanes, and creating dangerous situations for students and staff. Please remember that the loop is buses only from 7 to 9:30 am and 2 to 4:30 pm.
STOP SIGNS at crosswalks on campus must be observed.
If you are picking up or dropping off, please use designated parking lots, especially for afterschool activities. Do not move or remove cones on either campus. They are placed intentionally to protect students.
There have also been an alarming number of reports of vehicles passing stopped school buses, including in the opposite lane on our community roads. This puts children at serious risk as they head out to school in the morning and return home in the afternoon.. Please stay alert on village streets and rural roads alike. Thank you for helping us keep every student safe.

Join the Hornell Area Wind Ensemble on Saturday, February 14th for a 5 pm concert in the Wayland-Cohocton Performing Arts Center. The concert free and will feature among other local and friendly faces, Mr. Chris Lynn as a conductor. Mr. Lynn is a music teacher at Wayland-Cohocton. There are also a number of local community members and students performing with the ensemble. Bring your sweetheart; bring the family, bring some friends. We look forward to see you!

Due to the deteriorating weather conditions, all activities at Wayland-Cohocton are cancelled for the weekend, Saturday, January 24th and Sunday, January 25th. This includes continuing education activities such as pickle ball, youth community sports, school athletic practices, and school club meetings and athletic contests. Additional information and updates will be provided at a later time in regards to activities and classes on Monday. Please consider the campus closed for the weekend.

Due to inclement weather, all athletic events for this evening, Friday, January 23rd, have been cancelled including this evening’s basketball game against Dansville at Wayland-Cohocton. However, the Athletic Hall of Fame dinner and induction ceremony will be held as scheduled in the high school cafeteria.
