The Wayland-Cohocton Middle School staff are looking forward to seeing students and families at Open House on Tuesday, September 6th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. In order to reduce lines and wait time, we are asking students and families to enter through the following MS entrances: Fifth grade: CSE entrance: There will be a sign by the entrance that says Grade 5. Families, please park in the front elementary lot; Sixth grade: MS Main Entrance (clock above the door; 7th & 8th Grade: PAC Entrance

Reminder: This year's Free Clothing Give-Away will be held on Saturday, August 27th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Wayland-Cohocton PreK School Gymnasium in Cohocton. Everyone is welcome! We look forward to seeing you!

Good morning WCCS families. The athletic registration link is now open and we are accepting registrations for our Fall 2022 Modified, JV and Varsity sport offerings. Please visit our District website and find "Athletics Team Registration" under our athletic tab on the homepage. Please use existing accounts to register former and new athletes if you have registered in the past. We look forward to seeing the registrations come in!

CLARIFICATION The Wayland-Cohocton MIDDLE SCHOOL students will be dismissed tomorrow, Wednesday, June 22 at 11:15 a.m. We hope everyone has a safe and fun filled summer vacation!

Wayland-Cohocton families are reminded that Monday, June 20th the campus will be closed in observance of the Juneteenth holiday (June 19th). There are no classes and office will be closed.

Reminder to all Wayland-Cohocton Families: Wednesday, June 1 is NOT a delayed arrival Wednesday. Students will arrive and be dismissed at their normal times. Thank you.

Wayland-Cohocton School District residents are reminded today is the annual School Budget and Board Trustee Vote until 8 p.m. in the Middle School gymnasium on the Wayland campus. Please enter at the Performing Arts Center. You must be 18 years of age, a resident of the district for a period of 30 days prior to the vote and a US citizen to be eligible to vote.

The Wayland-Cohocton Teachers Association Chicken BBQ is quickly approaching. Presale tickets are available through Thursday, March 17th through the school website or by emailing your child's teacher. Tickets are $12 each and the BBQ is March 29th with pickup beginning at 3:45 pm. Proceeds support the Teachers Association programs in the school and community.

Wayland-Cohocton students will come home today (Friday, March 4) with free COVID-19 home test kits. Thee kits are for families to use at their discretion when needed. They were provided to the district through other government sources and so we are passing them on to families. If you have questions regarding your child's health or COVID-19 information, please contact your child's school nurse. If you or someone you know in the community is in need of a test kit, please reach out to the district as we have more available kits.

With the Spring-sport season quickly approaching, we are now accepting registrations! Please visit our Athletics tab and find "Athletics Team Registration" for links on registering athletes. Spring sports officially begin for JV and Varsity teams on March 14th and on March 28th for Modified teams, so don't delay!

WC Middle School Families: Your middle school child will come home today with a free COVID-19 Home Test Kit. This kit is for your family's use when or if you need to use it. They are to be used at your discretion. Please check with your child when they arrive home. These kits were given to the school and so we are passing them on to all of our families. Kits for the other buildings will be sent home some time this week. If you have COVID-19 related questions, please contact your child's school nurse.

WC 8th Grade Families: HS Information night for Eighth Grade Families is Thursday, February 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the LGI. If you have questions, please contact School Counselor Jean Antkowiak at jantkowiak@wccsk12.org.

Due to weather conditions predicted over the next 24 hours, Wayland-Cohocton will be closed for classes and all activities on Friday, February 4, 2022. Please keep safe.

All Wayland-Cohocton after school activities are cancelled for Thursday, February 3. High School and Middle School students will be dismissed at 2:10 p.m. in order to give the buses time to return for the 3:30 p.m. dismissal. Dismissal for Elementary and Prekindergarten students will remain the same. All activities on campus for the evening are cancelled.

Wayland-Cohocton will be closed on Tuesday, January 18th due to weather. All extracurricular activities and athletics are also cancelled. Please keep safe and healthy.

WC Families - If you registered to pick-up a free COVID-19 test kit for your child(ren), remember pick-up time for today, Thursday, January 6 is 5-6 p.m. If you have not registered and would like to do so, please see the email sent to you earlier this week. Please check your email for pick up locations (alphabetically by family name).

IMPORTANT: Wayland-Cohocton families who signed their children up for the Eaglet Cheer Event are asked to check their email immediately regarding the necessary postponement of the event due to COVID. Families should follow regular dismissal procedures for their children.
