From the WCCS Athletic Department: Registrations for fall athletics teams are still open. The fall season kicks off on August 18th. Modified football will also begin on August 18th. All other modified sports begin August 25th. If you would like to register go the schools website, wccsk12.org and under ATHLETICS go to TEAM REGISTRATION. This is a new system and all families will need to create an account the first time you use it. Thank you.

Just a reminder, WCCS provides the materials your child needs for learning during the 2025-2026 school year. Families should provide appropriate sneakers for physical education and a bookbag or backpack. If your child is of an age to bring their Chromebooks home for the summer, please locate those Chromebooks and chargers and get them charged. Have your student check them over and if they need any service, please bring them to school so your child can start school off with their Chromebook working. Open houses will be held on Wednesday, August 27th. We look forward to seeing students return on Tuesday, September 2nd.

Don’t forget the deadline to register for the summer Enrichment program (grades K-7) is June 11th. You can register online. or check your email for more information. Any child in grades k-7 residing in the district is eligible. There are still available slots. Today’s Wayland-Cohocton Youth Track Club for grades 1-6 will be relocated to the High School Field House. Families will be able to sign their students out in the foyer of the Field House. Due to spacing, there will not be room for parents to watch. Thank you for your understanding.
Wayland-Cohocton honors and remembers on this Memorial Day, May 26th. Memorial Day, observed on the last Monday of May, is a solemn national holiday in the United States dedicated to honoring and remembering the deceased men and women who served in the U.S. military. It is a time to reflect on the sacrifices made by these individuals and to show gratitude for their service. Originally called Decoration Day, Memorial Day began as a way to decorate the graves of Civil War soldiers with flowers. Over time, it evolved to honor all those who have died in service to the country, both in peacetime and during wartime.
