Summer Swimming Program for the afternoon of Wednesday, July 10th has been cancelled due to weather forecasts for the afternoon.

Good Afternoon. Due to a weather warning, all students and staff at Wayland-Cohocton have been moved to an interior safe place in the school building. There will be another text when we resume activities. (7/10)

Open Swim begins tomorrow and will run through August 15th from 3 to 5 pm. Cost $5 per visit. No prior registration required.


DON'T FORGET! Summer Enrichment Programs, Summer Swimming Programs and Summer Reading Programs begin tomorrow, Monday, July 8th. Also, free breakfast and lunch are available for kids 18 years and under on the Wayland Campus. Just show up at the designated times (see information emailed to families or check the school's website).


Wayland-Cohocton Eighth Grade Families are reminded of the Moving Up Ceremony for the Class of 2028 on June 20th at 1:15 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. Tuesday, May 21st is an important date for our school district and others across New York State. Residents will vote on their local school budgets, boards of education members and other related propositions. The Wayland-Cohocton polls will be open from 10 am to 8 pm in the middle school gymnasium on the Wayland campus. Qualified voters are individuals who: are citizens of the United States; are 18 years of age or older; are residents of the school district for a period of thirty days immediately preceding the vote. We look forward to seeing you at the polls.

Sixth graders in Miss Belanger’s and Mrs. Oswald's ELA classroom participated in a book tasting to kick off a new unit of study. The classroom was transformed into a cafe-like atmosphere. Students got to preview books and see which books they had an interest in reading. Special treats were provided to accompany the tasting!

Wayland-Cohocton families are reminded that the PTSO is hosting Shawna Has A Secret - an interactive educational training for adults 21 and older on Thursday, 18th, 6 pm, in the LGI, Come and check out Shawna’s bedroom and learn ways that drugs and related paraphernalia can be hidden in plain sight. We will discuss warning signs and ways we can help youth.
