
Wayland-Cohocton students will come home today (Friday, March 4) with free COVID-19 home test kits. Thee kits are for families to use at their discretion when needed. They were provided to the district through other government sources and so we are passing them on to families. If you have questions regarding your child's health or COVID-19 information, please contact your child's school nurse. If you or someone you know in the community is in need of a test kit, please reach out to the district as we have more available kits.

Wayland-Cohocton Elementary Families - This is Kindness Week - Tomorrow, Tuesday, February 15th show Peace, Love and Kindness - wear tie-dye! Remember those canine donations for Gordy and Friends if you want to donate!

Wayland-Cohocton Elementary - Don't forget this is Kindness Week! Tomorrow, Monday, February 14 wear red, pink and or white to celebrate Valentine's Day. Also, the collection of supplies for a canine friends with Gordy and Friends begins this week.

WC Elementary Families: Your elementary child will come home today with a free COVID-19 Home Test Kit. This kit is for your family's use when or if you need to use it. They are to be used at your discretion. Please check your child's backpack or school bag when they arrive home. These kits were given to the school and so we are passing them on to all of our families. Kits for the other buildings will be sent home some time this week. If you have COVID-19 related questions, please contact your child's school nurse.

Due to weather conditions predicted over the next 24 hours, Wayland-Cohocton will be closed for classes and all activities on Friday, February 4, 2022. Please keep safe.

All Wayland-Cohocton after school activities are cancelled for Thursday, February 3. High School and Middle School students will be dismissed at 2:10 p.m. in order to give the buses time to return for the 3:30 p.m. dismissal. Dismissal for Elementary and Prekindergarten students will remain the same. All activities on campus for the evening are cancelled.

Wayland-Cohocton will be closed on Tuesday, January 18th due to weather. All extracurricular activities and athletics are also cancelled. Please keep safe and healthy.

WC Families - If you registered to pick-up a free COVID-19 test kit for your child(ren), remember pick-up time for today, Thursday, January 6 is 5-6 p.m. If you have not registered and would like to do so, please see the email sent to you earlier this week. Please check your email for pick up locations (alphabetically by family name).

IMPORTANT: Wayland-Cohocton families who signed their children up for the Eaglet Cheer Event are asked to check their email immediately regarding the necessary postponement of the event due to COVID. Families should follow regular dismissal procedures for their children.

Wayland-Cohocton Elementary: Thursday, December 23rd is the last day of Winter Spirit Week. Join in the celebration as we ease into break with Pajama Jamma Day - Wear those PJs or cozy clothes! Enjoy your holiday break!

Wayland-Cohocton Elementary Spirit Week: Today, Monday, December 20th is Mix-Match Day - Dress in some crazy combinations or crazy socks! Anything! Have some fun!

Today, December 7 is Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. The Wayland-Cohocton flags have been lowered to half-mast in honor of this remembrance. The district thanks the student that brought this to its attention.

Due to extenuating circumstances, the Wayland-Cohocton High School (9-12) Band Holiday Concert scheduled for Thursday, December 9th is being rescheduled for Wednesday, December 15th at 7:00pm. This concert will be open to the public and everyone must wear a mask and social distance between groups. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for understanding. Our student musicians hope to see you on December 15th!

Wayland-Cohocton is currently experiencing issues with its bulk email and communication system. Please check the school's website for information on Wednesday's late arrival, updated winter concert information and this week's performance of Robin Hood and His Merry Men. We are working on the issue and hope to have it resolved quickly. Information can be found under NEWS.11
