Reduced Price Eligibility Chart

Families are encouraged to look over the attached information and if they meet the income guidelines, complete the application and return it to school. Only one application per family is necessary. If you already are receiving some services you may need only to enter identification numbers from those programs. Assistance is available by contacting Rebecca Schorer at rschorer@wccsk12.org or by calling at 585-213-4315.

If you are a family that qualifies based on the income guidelines (see image above), but are not intending to utilize the meal service at school, please consider completing the application anyway. If the Wayland-Cohocton District meets the guidelines with the appropriate percentage of families qualifying for meals, the community at large would benefit with free meals for all students. Historically the district is just a handful of families away from meeting this target number.

This is a federal program and does not directly impact your school tax dollars. In fact, the percentage of families qualifying for free and reduced meals impacts the aid received by the school; higher rates of qualifying students could mean increased aid - lowering the local tax share.

This information is kept confidential, both in processing the paperwork and delivering the meals to students.

More information will be coming about fall meal program information will be announced soon.
