2024-2025 FREE MEALS for ALL STUDENTS
Wayland-Cohocton is pleased to announce that after an extensive application process completed by Food Service Director Connie Hoffman and the District, Wayland-Cohocton has qualified for free breakfast and lunch meals for ALL students and at all sites for the 2024-2025 school year. All children will be able to receive meals for no charge without the completion of any paperwork in order to qualify.
Nutrition is at the center of good health and remaining being prepared to learn and maintaining focus throughout the day is heavily impacted by a child’s nutritional needs being met. Qualifying for this Special Provision program through New York State and the USDA means that all children will have the opportunity to access free meals.
The following are available at Wayland-Cohocton Central School:
All students have access to free breakfast and lunch during school days.
Students are not required to eat school meals and are still able to bring their own lunches to school.
Additional snacks and a la carte items will be available and can be purchased using the student account system through MySchoolBucks.
We are asking that families voluntarily complete the Household Income Form that can be found on the Food Services Web page (insert link) or in the annual School District Calendar that is mailed home in August. While completing the form is not a requirement, submitting such information is used to determine eligibility for additional State and Federal program benefits that your children or the school district may qualify for. The information is also used to determine aid that is part of the annual budget planning process. Your participation by completing the form can help guarantee that programs such as free meals for all students are possible for students at Wayland-Cohocton.
If you have specific questions, please feel free to reach out to Food Service Director Connie Hoffman at choffman@wccsk12.org or by phone at (585) 213-4315.
