We are pleased that you have chosen to live in our school community and have chosen Wayland-Cohocton Central School for the education of your child. It is our goal to give your child the best, most complete education available in a safe, healthy environment. We do this by hiring caring, concerned professionals who go above and beyond to meet your child’s needs.

Wayland-Cohocton Central School District consists of four schools:

Wayland-Cohocton PreK School, located in the Cohocton Building, is PreK, ages 3 & 4. Early Childhood Coordinator is Dr. Katie Recktenwald.

Wayland-Cohocton Elementary School, located in the Wayland building, is K through 4th grade. Principal is Theresa Carhart.

Wayland-Cohocton Middle School, located in the Wayland building, is 5th through 8th grades. Principal is Wendi Snyder.

Wayland-Cohocton High School, located in the Wayland building, is 9th through 12th grades. Principal is Jason Oliver.

New families that live within the Wayland-Cohocton Central School District will enroll their children in our schools through a centralized registration process through the District's Central Registrar. We have a two step process to register your students.

STEP 1 - Fill out online registration form HERE

STEP 2 - The District Registrar will contact you for an in-person appointment.

When meeting in person to complete the registration process you will need to upload the following items:

• Copy of birth certificate

• Previous school Information: Including school's name, address and phone number

• IEP (if applicable)

• Custody and Placement papers (if applicable). (The registering child must have placement with the WCCS District.)

• Adoption papers (if applicable)

• Proof of Income (Last year's tax form showing adjusted gross income, W2 form, current pay stubs(4 weeks), statement from employer, TANF award, or SSI award)

• Proof of residency (any of of the following): property tax bill, mortgage statement, house deed, current utility bill, landlord affidavit, lease agreement, affidavit from the county
