Dear Wayland-Cohocton Families and Community Members,

As part of our ongoing commitment to preparedness and collaboration with the Village of Wayland Police Department, the Wayland-Cohocton Central School District  will be conducting a scheduled critical response drill on the Wayland campus on Wednesday, February 18th from 6 to 8 pm.

The drill has been intentionally scheduled outside of regular school hours to ensure minimal impact on school programs and activities.

You may notice a heavier than normal police presence on or around campus. Please be assured that this activity is planned in advance and is part of our routine safety training procedures. There is no emergency situation.

These drills allow local law enforcement and emergency personnel to coordinate and practice their response procedures in a school setting. Working together in advance strengthens our collective ability to respond effectively should a real emergency ever occur.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of our school community. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the district office at (585) 213-4303

Sincerely,

Scott Manne

Director of Facilities and Safety
