This week families received their children's performance reports from last year’s 2026 New York State English Language Arts (ELA), Math and Science Assessments. In each of the enclosed reports, you will find a performance level score ranging from 1 to 4 indicating how well your child is meeting grade level NYS Learning Standards.
These assessments, along with daily classwork, teacher observations, homework, local assessments and benchmark assessment data are all valuable indicators of student progress. The performance levels of each assessment, along with other evidence of student learning helps in determining if students need additional support services. When students qualify for these services, parents are notified by our Intervention Service Providers.
If you would like additional information, please feel free to watch a district video: Understanding the NYS Performance Results Reports.
Should you have questions or concerns about the information included in the parent reports or about the intervention process, please contact your child’s building principal or call Rebecca Wager, Director of Curriculum and Instruction 728-2211 ext 3089.
