The Athletics Department is pleased to announce that Wayland-Cohocton has earned the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) School of Excellence Award for the 2020-2021 school year. In order to receive the award, 75% of the school’s varsity teams must qualify and receive the Scholar-Athlete Team Award.
School of Excellence recipients will be awarded a plaque. The following Eagle teams earned the Scholar-Athlete Team Award during the 2020-2021 school year:
Fall I: Girls Soccer, Girls Tennis, Girls Swimming, Girls Cross-Country, Boys Soccer, Boys Cross-Country.
Fall II: Volleyball.
Winter I: Girls Alpine Ski, Boys Swimming, Boys Alpine Ski.
Winter II: Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball
Spring: Softball, Baseball, Boys Outdoor Track, Boys Tennis, Girls Outdoor Track.
This award reflects a commitment to excellence on the part of the student-athletes, coaches, teachers and families. Congratulations to the teams and athletes who have made it possible for the Eagles to be recognized.
