The following information was emailed home to all families. (A different notice was emailed to PreK families. Also, hard copies were sent home with elementary and prekindergarten students on Friday.)
Please be aware that Wednesday, October 6 is a late arrival for Wayland-Cohocton students. The delayed arrival will allow for professional development for Wayland-Cohocton staff prior to the students’ arrival. Professional Development Days are included on the school’s instructional calendar which can be found at www.wccsk12.org under the DISTRICT tab.
High and Middle School students will arrive at 9:30 a.m. and attend until 2:30 p.m. If you drop your student off at school, please do so at 9:20 a.m. Otherwise, plan on your child’s bus pick-up to be approximately two hours later than a standard pick-up. Breakfast will not be served in the building. Lunch will be offered as usual. Remember, meals are free for all students. Students attending schools out of district will continue with their usual schedule. For BOCES students who can get to campus on their own, there will be a bus departing the HS at 8:40 a.m. The bus will depart from the high school entrance. Another BOCES bus will depart at 9:40 a.m. for those who come in on the delayed arrival bus run. Also, there will be a sports study hall for students who have athletic commitments after school.
Elementary (K-4th grade) students will arrive at 10:30 a.m. and attend until 3:30 p.m. Parent drop-off and pick-up procedures will remain the same. Teachers will be in the parent pick-up area at 10:30 a.m. to begin unloading students. Students riding the bus should anticipate their bus to arrive about 90 minutes later than standard. Please be patient with the morning pick-up run as transportation changes may make the run a little later. Breakfast will not be served, but lunch will be served as usual. Please remember that meals are free for all students.
A separate notice was sent to prekindergarten families attending at Cohocton PreK School.
