Each year the Wayland-Cohocton Central School District conducts a census to help determine current and future needs by assessing the current population in our communities. All information gathered is used strictly by the Wayland-Cohocton Central School district for enrollment purposes only. All residents in the WC district are asked to respond if they have any children from birth to age 21 living in their household.

Please respond by February 13th in one of the following ways:

Join the Hornell Area Wind Ensemble on Saturday, February 14th for a 5 pm concert in the Wayland-Cohocton Performing Arts Center. The concert free and will feature among other local and friendly faces, Mr. Chris Lynn as a conductor. Mr. Lynn is a music teacher at Wayland-Cohocton. There are also a number of local community members and students performing with the ensemble. Bring your sweetheart; bring the family, bring some friends. We look forward to see you!

Due to ongoing weather conditions and advisories issued by multiple area County Sheriff offices, WCCS is closing for Monday, January 26th, 2026. Please remember, this includes all afterschool activities including athletics, clubs and community programs.

Due to the deteriorating weather conditions, all activities at Wayland-Cohocton are cancelled for the weekend, Saturday, January 24th and Sunday, January 25th. This includes continuing education activities such as pickle ball, youth community sports, school athletic practices, and school club meetings and athletic contests. Additional information and updates will be provided at a later time in regards to activities and classes on Monday. Please consider the campus closed for the weekend.

Don’t miss the circus on Wednesday, January 14th in the Field House at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $20 at the door for one child 12 years or younger with an adult. You may have also purchased your tickets in advance with the flier sent home with students (PreK through sixth grade;) Fliers were also available in MS/HS offices. Presale tickets will be held until the night of the show and will be available for pick up at the presale table upon your arrival. If you need additional information, please contact your child’s school office during regular school hours. This event is sponsored by the Wayland-Cohocton Administrators Association. All proceeds go toward the district hardship fund to help students and the WCAA Future Educator Scholarship Award. See you at the show!

High School Students: Make sure you are in attendance on the half-day, Wednesday, January 14th for the Career, College and Military Fair from 8 to 11:30 am in the Field House. You’ll be able to visit a number of information tables, network with colleges and local employees; discuss degrees and microcredentials, and speak with recruiters. This is an excellent time to hone your personal speaking skills by visiting the tables and introducing yourselves. We look forward to seeing you there!
