WC Elementary students are reminded that tomorrow, Monday, May 2 is Wear PJs and Comfy Clothes Day! Remember - Teamwork makes the DREAM work!

The Wayland-Cohocton Teachers Association Chicken BBQ is quickly approaching. Presale tickets are available through Thursday, March 17th through the school website or by emailing your child's teacher. Tickets are $12 each and the BBQ is March 29th with pickup beginning at 3:45 pm. Proceeds support the Teachers Association programs in the school and community.

Wayland-Cohocton students will come home today (Friday, March 4) with free COVID-19 home test kits. Thee kits are for families to use at their discretion when needed. They were provided to the district through other government sources and so we are passing them on to families. If you have questions regarding your child's health or COVID-19 information, please contact your child's school nurse. If you or someone you know in the community is in need of a test kit, please reach out to the district as we have more available kits.

WC 8th Grade Families: HS Information night for Eighth Grade Families is Thursday, February 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the LGI. If you have questions, please contact School Counselor Jean Antkowiak at jantkowiak@wccsk12.org.

Due to weather conditions predicted over the next 24 hours, Wayland-Cohocton will be closed for classes and all activities on Friday, February 4, 2022. Please keep safe.

All Wayland-Cohocton after school activities are cancelled for Thursday, February 3. High School and Middle School students will be dismissed at 2:10 p.m. in order to give the buses time to return for the 3:30 p.m. dismissal. Dismissal for Elementary and Prekindergarten students will remain the same. All activities on campus for the evening are cancelled.

Wayland-Cohocton will be closed on Tuesday, January 18th due to weather. All extracurricular activities and athletics are also cancelled. Please keep safe and healthy.

WC Families - If you registered to pick-up a free COVID-19 test kit for your child(ren), remember pick-up time for today, Thursday, January 6 is 5-6 p.m. If you have not registered and would like to do so, please see the email sent to you earlier this week. Please check your email for pick up locations (alphabetically by family name).

Wayland-Cohocton Families: Please remember tomorrow, Wednesday, January 5th is a late arrival day for students. Please check the email sent on December 28th regarding specific arrival times for your child's building.

IMPORTANT: Wayland-Cohocton families who signed their children up for the Eaglet Cheer Event are asked to check their email immediately regarding the necessary postponement of the event due to COVID. Families should follow regular dismissal procedures for their children.

WC Families - Wednesday, January 5 is a delayed arrival day for students. Please reference the email sent to you on December 28th regarding specific times for your child's building as well as test-to-stay times. Thank you.

The Modified Boys' Basketball and Modified Cheerleading seasons start on Monday December 20th. Please visit our Athletics webpage to find instructions on registering an athlete. Today, December 7 is Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. The Wayland-Cohocton flags have been lowered to half-mast in honor of this remembrance. The district thanks the student that brought this to its attention.

Due to extenuating circumstances, the Wayland-Cohocton High School (9-12) Band Holiday Concert scheduled for Thursday, December 9th is being rescheduled for Wednesday, December 15th at 7:00pm. This concert will be open to the public and everyone must wear a mask and social distance between groups. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for understanding. Our student musicians hope to see you on December 15th!

Wayland-Cohocton is currently experiencing issues with its bulk email and communication system. Please check the school's website for information on Wednesday's late arrival, updated winter concert information and this week's performance of Robin Hood and His Merry Men. We are working on the issue and hope to have it resolved quickly. Information can be found under NEWS.

WC Theater Group's production of Robin Hood and His Merry Men will have limited seating. Each participating student will receive four tickets for each performance to share with family and friends. WCCS apologizes that this performance cannot be open to the public at this time. This event will not be live-streamed.
